Christopher Isike, PhD is a Professor of African Politics, African Development and International Relations at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is the current Vice President (2016–18) of the South African Association of Political Studies (SAAPS) and an Executive Council Member of the international Political Science Association (IPSA). An Africanist scholar by research standpoint, Prof Isike’s teaching and research interests revolve around African soft power politics and development dynamics, the quality of women’s political representation in Africa, women and peace-building in Africa, African immigration to South Africa, human security, human factor development in Africa and South African Higher Education studies.
