Professor Ransford Gyampo is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Centre for European Studies in the University of Ghana. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Ghana and Tufts University, Boston, USA. He has over 13 years of teaching and research experience in the areas of Governance, Democracy, Leadership, Natural Resource Management and Development.
As Director for the Centre for European Studies, Professor Gyampo has a renewed focus and passion for undertaking and promoting teaching and scholarly research in the area of European Studies. He has researched and published extensively in both local and internationally-refereed journals.
Professor Gyampo is a member of Ghana’s Electoral Reform Committee and is the Coordinator of the Ghana Political Parties Programme. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Governance Unit of the Institute of Economic Affairs. Until recently he served as a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Government and International Relations at the University of South Florida, Tampa, USA.
